Marvel's 2021 Alien series hits its third issue with a cover by InHyuk Lee that is genuinely hard to look away from — a young, wide-eyed girl stares out in pure terror while the segmented limbs of a Xenomorph close around her from behind, the creature looming just out of full view in the darkness. The intimate, portrait-style composition makes the threat feel immediate and suffocating in a way that wider action shots rarely achieve. Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Salvador Larroca, and Guru-eFX continue building what promises to be a deeply unsettling corner of the Alien universe.
