Perker's Vertigo series reaches its twenty-first issue with a cover that splits the world in two — above the waterline, a determined blonde woman in an orange coat crouches atop what appears to be a massive helmeted head, her scarf and hair caught in the wind against an open blue sky; below, that head belongs to a goggled aviator wearing a French tricolor band, eyes closed, half-submerged in calm water.
