Adventures of Superman #583
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePart three of the "Reign of Emperor Joker" crossover arrives in this October 2000 issue, with cover art by Kano and Andy Lanning presenting a striking, almost devotional image: a winged, angelic figure bearing the Superman emblem on a flowing white gown, arms outstretched amid radiant light and stained-glass colors. Flanking her below are two cherub-like figures — one unmistakably the Joker, grinning with green hair, the other a dark-haired youth with small wings — as the tagline promises, "and the truth shall set them free!" With J. M. DeMatteis writing and Mike Miller on interior art, this chapter of the five-part story offers a fascinatingly surreal chapter in the larger Emperor Joker saga.
