“The Village Graveyard”

In "The Village Graveyard," a 1952 tale from Adventures into Weird Worlds #4, a man named Donald faces the grim isolation of a plague-ridden town—until loneliness pushes him to reach out. With a friend, he hosts a secret gathering for those untouched by the sickness, where he meets a strikingly beautiful stranger. But as the night unfolds, he begins to suspect that appearances can be as deceptive as the shadows in the graveyard. Bill Everett handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Carl Burgos delivers the eerie cover.
