From DC's 1952 run of Adventure Comics comes this wonderfully imaginative issue featuring "Superboy and Cleopatra," with cover art by Win Mortimer. The cover depicts Superboy flying in bearing a bouquet of jewels while a reclining Cleopatra — attended by a leopard and a standing handmaiden — declares him her slave with a speech bubble that reads "Ah! My slave, Superboy, brings jewels fit for a queen!" It's a delightfully offbeat premise that places the Boy of Steel squarely in the ancient world, all for a dime.
