In "The Super-Duel in Space," Superman and Lois Lane find themselves caught in a high-stakes battle when the alien villain Brainiac hijacks an experimental rocket and begins shrinking Earth's cities for his own use. With Metropolis in peril, Superman races to stop Brainiac, infiltrating his ship to confront the menace head-on. Inside the alien vessel, he discovers a bottled Kryptonian city—later known as Kandor—and must decide what to do with it when the mission's power constraints prevent its full restoration.
