☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIn this noir-tinged black-and-white tale, con man David Gold—known as Goldfish—returns to a city he left a decade ago, now ruled by his ex-lover and crime boss Lauren Bacall. Set largely within the shadowy confines of her nightclub, Club Cinderella—a place that doubles as a brothel and casino—Goldfish must navigate a web of old debts and dangerous alliances to reclaim his son. Written and illustrated by Brian Michael Bendis, with inks and letters by the same, this gripping story unfolds with the sharp, unflinching style of classic detective fiction, all rendered in stark monochrome. The cover, also by Bendis, captures the story’s brooding atmosphere with a single, haunting image.
