2000 AD #57
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDan Dare and his crew are in serious trouble on this March 1978 cover of 2000 AD Prog 57, where Dave Gibbons' artwork puts their Eagle craft spinning out of control toward a deep-sea trench on a water-covered planet, battered by rocks and crushing pressure. The panicked faces of the crew fill the foreground as crisis captions and a desperate "AAAAGH!" make the peril feel viscerally immediate. It's a gripping snapshot of "Waterworld, Part 2," with Gibbons delivering the kind of urgent, dynamic cover energy that made early 2000 AD such a compelling weekly read.
