“The Lugjack, Part 3”

Prog 246 of 2000 AD kicks off January 1982 with a vivid cover by Jesús Redondo that plunges you straight into an alien marketplace scene — a hulking, blue-skinned creature looms over a group of young humans, its speech bubble ominously declaring "Your bids, please, for these fine young humans!" Surrounding them are armored alien figures and exotic flora, painting a picture of an otherworldly slave auction that's equal parts unsettling and thrilling. This issue also heralds the start of a new Nemesis the Warlock series, making it a particularly packed Monday-morning treat at just 16p.
