At a recent meeting of the associa- tion he “mentioned his offer of a prize of one thousand dol- lars to any hospital that would provide five doctors who would submit to vaccination with vaccine virus supplied by the New York Board of Health, and who, after having passed on the vaccination as perfect, would let doctors he chose inoculate smallpox matter into their bodies.
