Ron Fortier
Ron Fortier (born November 5, 1946) is an American author best known for his work on *The Green Hornet* and *The Terminator* comic book series, as well as for reviving the pulp hero Captain Hazzard. He began his career writing short stories and co-authored two novels for TSR before entering comics in 1983. Over the next four decades, Fortier wrote and drew on 99 issues, with his most credited titles including *Gene Roddenberry's Xander in Lost Universe*, *Mr. Jigsaw*, and *The Terminator: The Burning Earth*. He frequently collaborated with artists such as Tim Burgard and Joe Staton, co-creating the *Sting of the Green Hornet* series. Fortier’s work is characterized by a brisk, action-driven style that pays homage to classic pulp adventure while updating it for modern readers. He received an Eisner Award nomination for his *Green Hornet* stories. Later in life, he continued writing for independent publishers and remained active in the small-press scene, contributing to anthologies and mentoring younger creators. His legacy lies in bridging the gap between vintage pulp heroes and contemporary comic book audiences, particularly through his dedicated stewardship of Captain Hazzard.
