Green Hornet II and Kato investigate the assassination of Senator Carlson, bugging underworld figures’ homes, cars or offices. The Hornet discovers Dave Broxton, who profits from selling ammunition to the army. Carlson campaigned on pulling the US out of the Vietnam war. A meeting with Broxton yields a taped confession. Years later, the Hornet and Kato invade the Devane mansion, disarming Jackknife's son David. Hornet and the old man argue and after the Hornet and Kato depart, someone enters and shoots Jackknife. The Hornet and Kato hear the gunshots from their car but the Hornet collapses.
