Richard Kadrey

Richard Kadrey (born August 27, 1957) is an American novelist, freelance writer, and photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In comics, he is best known for his work on mature-reader supernatural and crime titles, particularly *Lucifer*, *Hellblazer*, and *100 Bullets*. His path into comics came via his background as a novelist and journalist, bringing a literary sensibility to the medium. Kadrey’s signature style blends dark fantasy, occult themes, and sharp dialogue, often exploring the edges of morality and reality. He collaborated extensively with artists such as Mike Hawthorne, Chris Bachalo, and Richard Corben. Among his notable co-creations is the graphic novel *Accelerate*, a cyberpunk-noir story. Later in his career, he continued writing novels and non-fiction, with his comics work remaining a significant part of his bibliography.
