Accelerate #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe second chapter of Vertigo's four-part cyberpunk series brings a grimly charged energy, with the Pander Bros.' cover framing two figures — a heavily textured, augmented-looking man and a sharp-eyed young woman — captured as if through surveillance crosshairs, a "Security Breach: Zone 5" alert overlaid across the scene. Above them, a fleet of saucer-like aircraft casts beams down over a palm-tree skyline bathed in deep red, while HUD readouts and circuit-board graphics push the whole image into an unsettling near-future tension. Writer Richard Kadrey and the Pander Bros. build a world that feels both stylish and genuinely dangerous, and "I Love Living in the City" sounds like exactly the kind of ironic title this surveillance-soaked cover deserves.
