Nina Albright
Nina Dorothy Albright (February 15, 1907 – February 7, 1997) was an American comic book artist who worked during the Golden Age, one of the few women in the field at the time. Born in 1907, she contributed to comics for nine years, with a career that saw credits on 26 issues between 1944 and 1996. Her most frequent work appeared in titles such as *4Most*, *Target Comics*, *Captain Aero Comics*, *Popular Romance*, *Golden-Age Greats*, and *FemForce*. While specifics of her early path into comics remain undocumented, her output placed her within the bustling New York–centered industry of the era, where she likely collaborated with editors and writers on anthology and genre books. Her style, typical of the period, balanced lively linework with clear storytelling, particularly in romance and adventure comics. Albright’s later legacy is tied to her rarity as a female creator in a male-dominated medium, and her work was revisited in reprint series like *Golden-Age Greats* and *FemForce*, which helped preserve her contributions. She passed away in 1997, just days before her 90th birthday. No major awards are recorded, but her presence in the historical record underscores the often-overlooked role of women in early comics.
