Over her brother’s objections, Eileen hires Ed as the handyman for their diner. They fall in love. When the diner is robbed, Ed is blamed and vanishes. Eileen finds him and he admits he served time for manslaughter, and feels he wouldn’t get a fair trial for the robbery. Eileen convinces Ed to return and face the charges: when they arrive, they learn the real crook has already been caught.
