Sally thinks she is “plain, homely” and is surprised when her ham radio friend Bob visits and treats her well. They attend a "Radio Club" dance but Sally thinks the other guests are patronising her and leaves. Bob and Sally fall in love. He signs them up to sing at a fundraiser but she is too insecure and bows out. Doris replaces her in the act and Sally gets jealous. Bob breaks up with Sally due to her inferiority complex. Sally decides to become more out-going and discovers she enjoys herself. Bob and Sally reconcile.
