Max Bemis was born on April 6, 1984, in the United States. He is best known in comics as a writer for Marvel, where he created the limited series *X-Men: Worst X-Man Ever* and *Foolkiller: Psycho Therapy*. Bemis entered the industry after establishing himself as the lead singer and primary songwriter of the rock band Say Anything; his musical background informed the offbeat, character-driven tone of his comic work. His most credited title is *Moon Knight*, where he explored the psychological depths of the vigilante. He also wrote the creator-owned series *Evil Empire* and *Lucy Dreaming*, as well as contributions to *Crossed Badlands* and *Savage*. Bemis collaborated with artists such as Michael Walsh and Nathan Stockman. His work often blends dark humor with emotional vulnerability, reflecting his own experiences. Active in comics from 2014 to 2023, he has not received major industry awards, but his cult-favorite projects have earned a dedicated following. Bemis continues to balance his music career with occasional comic writing, maintaining a distinct voice in both fields.
