Kristian Donaldson, often credited simply as Kristian, is a comic book artist based in Dallas, Texas, best known for his gritty, atmospheric work on the series *Supermarket* and Brian Wood’s *DMZ*. Born in the 1970s (exact date not specified), he entered the industry in the mid-2000s, quickly establishing a distinctive style marked by heavy inks, muted palettes, and a cinematic sense of decay. His most prominent collaboration was with writer Brian Wood on *DMZ*, for which he provided art on several issues, and he also contributed to *Fallen Angel* and the *One for One: The Massive* initiative. Donaldson is the co-creator of the post-apocalyptic crime series *Supermarket*, which he both wrote and illustrated, showcasing his ability to blend noir tension with surreal, consumerist horror. Later work included *99 Days*, a thriller miniseries. Though he has not been a prolific figure in the mainstream, his projects have earned a cult following for their moody, minimalist storytelling. Major awards are not associated with his name, but his influence persists among fans of indie, dystopian comics. He remains active in the Dallas area, occasionally returning to sequential art between other creative pursuits.
