About this Collection

This volume collects the complete 2008 miniseries from Boom! Studios, written by Steven Grant with art by Matías Timarchi. The story follows two criminals, a DEA agent and a naval intelligence officer, who unknowingly work for each other while planning a heist that spirals into a larger conspiracy involving the CIA and Mexican cartels. A gritty, double-cross-heavy crime thriller that was later adapted into a 2013 film starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.

"Chapter 1" of Two Guns #nn (2008) kicks off with Bobby "Bobby Beans" Trench waking from a near-fatal graze to a world gone sideways. As he tracks down Marcus for answers, the two are pulled into a deadly game where every ally could be a threat. Written by Steven Grant and illustrated by Mateus Santolouco, with colors by Popart Studios and letters by Ed Dukeshire, the issue’s tense, grounded pace is matched by Kristian Donaldson’s sharp cover art.

Bobby "Bobby Beans" Trench wakes up after being shot in the head. Fortunately for him it was just a graze. He sets off looking for Marcus for an explanation for what's going on. Meanwhile, Marcus is fighting for his life when the people he was working for are looking to sew up loose ends. Bobby goes to his boss looking for answers when he can't find Marcus but while he is there his boss is killed by the hoods looking for their money from Bobby. Marcus shows up and kills the killers, then leaves before Bobby can catch up to him.
