Koi Turnbull
1976–
Koi Turnbull (also credited as Coy Turnbull) is an American comic book artist best known for his dynamic, action-oriented work across DC Comics, Marvel, and Aspen MLT. Born in 1976, he entered the industry in the early 2000s and quickly became a sought-after collaborator, active from 2004 to 2010 across 35 issues. Turnbull is most recognized for his runs on *Michael Turner's Fathom* and *Fathom - Neue Serie*, where his clean linework and fluid figure drawing complemented the underwater epic's aquatic action. At Marvel, he contributed to *New Warriors*, *Black Panther*, and the miniseries *Terror, Inc. - Apocalypse Soon*, while at DC he worked on *Superman Confidential*. His style—marked by bold anatomy, expressive faces, and a knack for high-energy fight scenes—made him a natural fit for superhero and fantasy titles. Turnbull co-created the character Blue Marvel with writer Kevin Grevioux, though the character's full debut came later. After his peak activity in the late 2000s, he stepped away from regular monthly work, leaving a compact but impactful body of work. He has not received major industry awards, but his contributions to *Fathom* and his co-creation of Blue Marvel remain his most cited achievements.
