Kin Platt

Kin Platt was a versatile American cartoonist, writer, and artist, born December 8, 1911, in New York City. He died on November 30, 2003, in Los Angeles, California. Platt is best remembered for his wide-ranging career that spanned radio comedy, animated television series, and children's mystery novels—one of which earned him the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Award. In comics, he wrote and drew for several publishers during the 1940s and 1970s, notably creating the early talking animal superhero Supermouse. His comic book work appeared in titles such as *Exciting Comics*, *Startling Comics*, *Happy Comics*, *Coo Coo Comics*, *Thrilling Comics*, and *Top Notch Comics*, where he contributed as artist, inker, letterer, and writer. Platt's signature style blended energetic linework with a keen sense of humor, often collaborating with other creators on anthology series. Beyond comics, he was a respected painter and sculptor.
