Kentaro Yabuki
Kentaro Yabuki was born on February 4, 1980, in Japan. He is best known as the manga artist behind *Black Cat* (2000–2004), which he both wrote and illustrated, and for his long collaboration with writer Saki Hasemi on the romantic comedy series *To Love Ru* (2006–2009) and its sequel *To Love Ru Darkness* (2010–2017). Yabuki also created the supernatural action series *Ayakashi Triangle* (2020–2023). He studied under Takeshi Obata, the illustrator of *Hikaru no Go*, *Death Note*, and *Bakuman*. Yabuki’s style is marked by clean, dynamic linework and expressive character designs, particularly in his depictions of action and comedic situations. In our catalog, he is credited as artist, inker, and writer across ten issues from 2007 to 2019, with his most prominent work appearing in *To Love Ru*, *Black Cat*, and *To Love Ru Darkness*. His contributions to manga have earned him a dedicated readership, and his later projects continue to reflect his versatility in both action and romance genres.
