Jordi Lafebre
1979–
Jordi Lafebre, born in 1979, is a Spanish illustrator and comic book artist whose work has found a natural home in the Franco-Belgian market. He is best known for his warm, expressive linework and sensitive storytelling, often serving as both artist and colorist. Lafebre’s signature series, *Les Beaux Étés* (also published as *Mooie zomers* and *Verões Felizes*), showcases his ability to blend nostalgic summer settings with nuanced character drama. He has also written and drawn the graphic novel *Ondanks alles* (published in English as *In Spite of Everything*), demonstrating a versatility that extends beyond illustration. Key collaborators include writer Zidrou, with whom he has worked on several projects. Lafebre’s style is marked by a soft, painterly palette and a keen eye for human emotion, making his interiors and covers highly distinctive. His later work includes the introspective *Ik ben hun stilte* (*Ich bin ihr Schweigen*). Though he has not yet received major industry awards, his growing body of work has earned him a dedicated readership. Lafebre remains active, contributing to both European and international comics.
