Frank Lovece is an American journalist, author, and comic book writer best known for his work at Marvel Comics, where he and artist Mike Okamoto created the miniseries *Atomic Age*. Born in New York, he has built a long career as a feature writer and film critic for *Newsday*, the major New York metropolitan newspaper. For over nine years, he wrote a nationally syndicated weekly interview column for United Media/Newspaper Enterprise Association, profiling filmmakers and performers. His journalism has appeared in *Billboard*, *Entertainment Weekly*, the *Los Angeles Times*, the *New York Post*, *Penthouse*, *Sound & Vision*, and *The Village Voice*; one of his inflight-magazine profiles was even entered into the U.S. Congressional Record. In comics, Lovece’s credits span 19 issues from 1990 to 2016, with his most frequent titles including *Hokum & Hex*, *Atomic Age*, *Nightstalkers*, *Masked Rider*, *Clive Barker's Hellraiser Dark Holiday Special*, and *Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers*. He is also the author of several books. Lovece’s work remains a footnote in both mainstream journalism and 1990s Marvel publishing, reflecting a versatile career that balanced pop-culture criticism with superhero and licensed-property storytelling.
