Christine Norrie
Christine Norrie is a comic book artist and inker whose clean, expressive linework has been a staple of independent and all-ages comics since the early 2000s. Born in 1973, she first gained attention for her art on the graphic novel *Cheat*. Over the following decade, she became a frequent collaborator with Oni Press, providing art for the series *Hopeless Savages* and inks for the espionage thriller *Queen & Country*. Her versatility also extended to licensed work, including a syndicated comic strip that accompanied the first three *Spy Kids* films for Disney magazines. In 2006, she teamed with author Aimee Friedman on *Breaking Up*, a 192-page graphic novel published by Scholastic’s Graphix imprint. Norrie contributed to the 2009 anthology *Secret Identities*, a groundbreaking collection of Asian American superhero stories. Her credits as an artist and inker span titles such as *Bad Girls*, *American Virgin*, and a 2016 *Lumberjanes* special. Active from 2001 to 2016, Norrie’s work is noted for its clarity, emotional nuance, and strong storytelling. She has received no major industry awards, but her steady output helped define the tone of early 2000s indie and teen-focused comics.
