Caitlin Kittredge
Caitlin Kittredge (born September 1984) is an American author and comic-book writer best known for her dark fantasy and urban fantasy noir work. She first gained attention with her *Nocturne City* adult novels and the young adult *The Iron Codex* series. In comics, she is most recognized for *Coffin Hill* at Vertigo Comics and *Witchblade* and *Throwaways* at Image Comics. Her comic-book career was active from 2013 to 2016, during which she was credited as writer on 23 issues, primarily for *Coffin Hill* and *Grimm*. Kittredge’s writing style blends supernatural elements with gritty, noir-infused storytelling, often featuring strong female protagonists. She collaborated with artists such as Ivan Rodriguez and Marco Rudy on *Coffin Hill*, a series about a Boston police officer with a witch’s past. Her work on *Witchblade* continued the dark fantasy tradition of that long-running title. While she has not received major comic-industry awards, her novels have earned a dedicated readership. Kittredge remains active in prose fiction, with her comic contributions standing as a focused, well-regarded chapter in her career.
