Throwaways #10

This tenth issue of Image's Throwaways delivers one of the series' most unsettling cover images: a man in a red shirt — identified by the file-drawer label below as "Logan, Dean" — peers through a small wire-reinforced window, while a swirling mass of purple tentacles and a wide, staring eye writhes just behind him in the cramped space. The contrast between Dean's guarded, weary expression and the otherworldly horror crowding at his back sets a genuinely tense mood that the creative team of Kittredge, Sanders, and Wands pulls off with understated skill. If you've been following this series through 2017, issue ten looks like a compelling reason to stay invested.
