Few concepts in comics are as gleefully unhinged as Zombie Deadpool — a decapitated, still-wisecracking undead head who shambled onto the scene in 2009's Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #1, courtesy of Victor Gischler and Bong Dazo. Born squarely in Marvel's Modern Age at the height of its zombie craze, this rotting riff on the Merc with a Mouth is exactly as chaotic as it sounds, turning up in the savage wilds of the Savage Land alongside Ka-Zar, Kevin Plunder, and the mighty Zabu before graduating to the gloriously absurd Deadpool Corps.
