Zabraxas is a dark, menacing supernatural entity inhabiting the hellish mythology of the Spawn universe, operating among the demonic and infernal forces that populate that world alongside figures like Spawn and Abbadon.

A creature of shadow and menace born from the darkest corners of Todd McFarlane's hellish mythology, Zabraxas made their entrance in Spawn #95 in 2000 — right in the thick of the Modern Age, when Image Comics was pushing its flagship title into ever more ambitious supernatural territory. Over the course of roughly seven years, this figure carved out a presence across 14 appearances in the pages of Spawn, sharing that grim, infernal world with the likes of Spawn himself, Al Simmons, Abbadon, and the Williams detectives. Not every character who haunts the Spawn universe gets to linger, but Zabraxas kept showing up — and in McFarlane's world, that kind of staying power means something worth investigating for any serious collector of the series.
