Stegron
Vincent Stegron was a research assistant to Dr. Curt Connors who stole samples of the Lizard Formula and used dinosaur DNA from the Savage Land to transform himself into a powerful, stegosaurus-like reptilian creature — granting him a dinosaur's strength, armored hide, and tail.
Stomping out of the Bronze Age in The Amazing Spider-Man #165, Stegron is one of Marvel's most gloriously singular villains — a dinosaur-themed menace conjured by the legendary team of Len Wein and Ross Andru in 1977. Nearly five decades of appearances later, this prehistoric powerhouse has proven surprisingly durable, turning up across titles like Daredevil, Sinister War, and Amazing Spider-Man to keep heroes like Spider-Man and the Lizard on their toes. The company Stegron keeps — sharing pages with heavy-hitters like Electro and Peter Parker himself — speaks to a character who slots comfortably into Marvel's rogues' gallery without ever quite getting the spotlight he deserves. For collectors who love the weird, wild corners of the Bronze Age, Stegron is exactly the kind of deep-cut discovery that makes digging through back issues so rewarding.
