Skyman
Sylvester Pemberton, the former Star-Spangled Kid, adopted the identity of Skyman and joined Infinity, Inc., a team of legacy heroes largely comprising children and successors of the Justice Society of America. He flew using a gravity-defying sky-sled of his own design.
Skyman soared onto the DC Comics scene in 1986, a Copper Age creation by Bob Greenberger who made his debut in the pages of Infinity, Inc. β one of the era's most celebrated team books. Over a roughly fourteen-year run, he kept remarkable company, sharing adventures with the likes of Green Lantern, Jade, Obsidian, and Sylvester Pemberton, placing him squarely in the heart of DC's legacy-hero universe. His appearances span Infinity, Inc., Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E., and even Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, that beloved snapshot of DC's sprawling mythology β a sure sign he earned his place in the canon. A compact but genuine piece of the Copper Age tapestry, Skyman is exactly the kind of discovery that reminds collectors why digging deeper into DC's back catalogue is always worth the effort.
