Skullbuster is a cybernetically enhanced mercenary who first appeared as a member of the Reavers, a gang of criminal cyborgs that ambushed and clashed with the X-Men. Little else about their personal background has been officially disclosed.

Few characters carry a name as unapologetically on-the-nose as Skullbuster, who crashed into Marvel's Copper Age in 1988 courtesy of Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri in the pages of The Uncanny X-Men #229 — a debut that comic historians still flag as collector-significant.
