Rumble
Rumble is a Decepticon warrior who arrived on Earth aboard the Nemesis after crashing on the planet millions of years prior. A small but fierce cassette robot who deploys from Soundwave, he uses pile-driver arms to trigger earthquakes and wreak havoc on the Autobots.
Few characters can claim they were there from the very beginning β Rumble debuted in the landmark first issue of The Transformers back in 1984, part of the Bronze Age wave that launched one of comics' most beloved science-fiction franchises. Created by Bill Mantlo, Ralph Macchio, and Frank Springer, this Marvel UK mainstay has kept remarkably tenacious company across four decades, sharing pages with heavy hitters like Soundwave, Optimus Prime, Ravage, Frenzy, and Ratchet. With two key-issue appearances to their name and a presence stretching all the way from 1984 to 2025 β including turns in G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers β Rumble is a testament to the enduring pull of that original Transformers mythology. For collectors tracing the full arc of the franchise from its earliest Marvel roots, this is absolutely a character worth tracking down.
