Roger Bochs

Roger Bochs is a legless Canadian inventor who designed and built the Box robot armor, allowing him to physically merge with the suit and operate it. He became affiliated with Alpha Flight, Canada's government-sponsored superhero team.

A product of the fertile Bronze Age, Roger Bochs made his entrance in 1985 through the pages of Strange — published by the French house Editions Lug — the creation of the celebrated John Byrne. Over a run stretching into the late 1980s, he carved out a modest but genuine presence across Strange and Spécial Strange, sharing those pages with the likes of Peter Parker and the luminous Aurora and her twin Jean-Paul Beaubier. Twenty-two appearances may not sound like a dynasty, but for devotees of this distinctive corner of comics publishing, Roger Bochs is exactly the kind of character who rewards the curious collector willing to dig a little deeper.
