Ridondo
Ridondo is a supporting character in Marvel's sword-and-sorcery tales of Kull the Conqueror, a figure from the ancient kingdom of Valusia who serves as a court minstrel and poet to the barbarian king.
Ridondo stepped onto the Bronze Age comics scene in 1971, born from the imagination of Roy Thomas and Ross Andru in the very first issue of Kull, the Conqueror β a debut that doesn't get much more key than that. This Marvel creation has proven quietly enduring, with appearances stretching across an impressive fifty years and turning up in titles like Kull and the Barbarians and even The Savage Sword of Conan. Along the way, Ridondo shares the page with some of the sword-and-sorcery genre's most compelling figures β King Kull himself, the wily Ka-Nu, and the scheming Baron Kaanuub of Blaal among them. With only a dozen catalog appearances, Ridondo is a rewarding discovery for the dedicated Hyborian-age enthusiast who loves hunting the corners of Marvel's rich Bronze Age fantasy world.
