Nick Katzenberg
Nick Katzenberg is a sleazy, unscrupulous photographer who works at the Daily Bugle, often clashing with Peter Parker. A tabloid-minded opportunist, he pursues sensationalist photos at any ethical cost, making him a persistent thorn in Spider-Man's world.
Nick Katzenberg crawled out of the Marvel Universe in 1989, debuting in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #23 courtesy of David Michelinie, Conway, and a young Rob Liefeld β a Copper Age creation dropped right into the thick of New York's most chaotic corner of the Marvel Universe. Haunting the pages of Web of Spider-Man, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and The Amazing Spider-Man, he keeps genuinely electric company: Peter Parker, J. Jonah Jameson, Mary Jane, Spider-Man himself, even Doctor Doom. His catalog run is compact β just nine appearances across a couple of years β but one of them carries key-issue weight, making him a worthwhile name for any serious Spider-Man completist hunting the overlooked faces that gave the Daily Bugle world its gritty, lived-in texture.
