Mirage
Danielle Moonstar is a Cheyenne mutant who can reach into a person's mind and project their deepest fears as tangible illusions. A founding member of the New Mutants, she trained at Xavier's School alongside teammates Cannonball, Wolfsbane, and Sunspot.
Stepping onto the Bronze Age stage in the pages of Editions Lug's Spécial Strange #36 in 1984 — brought to life by the legendary duo of Chris Claremont and John Byrne — Mirage is a character with real staying power, racking up 61 catalog appearances across an impressive four decades of comics. Three of those appearances carry key-issue status, making this a name that savvy collectors have good reason to circle. Sharing adventures alongside the likes of Sam Guthrie, Rahne Sinclair, Roberto Da Costa, and Rocket across titles including Titans and X-Men Select, Mirage moves in genuinely storied company — a testament to a character who has quietly endured while the comics landscape shifted dramatically around them.
