Hardhead

Hardhead is an Autobot Headmaster — a Transformer whose head detaches to reveal a small humanoid Nebulan pilot who bonds with the larger mechanical body, granting both enhanced abilities. He debuted as part of the Autobot Headmasters unit alongside Fortress Maximus and Brainstorm.

Crashing onto the scene in 1987's The Transformers: Headmasters #2, Hardhead is a Marvel Comics creation of the Copper Age, born from the imaginative collaboration of Bob Budiansky and Frank Springer during one of Transformers' most inventive storytelling eras. Hardhead runs with an impressive crowd — sharing pages with heavy-hitters like Fortress Maximus, Brainstorm, Chromedome, Duros, and Gort across both The Transformers and its Headmasters spin-off. A relatively rare find with just six catalogued appearances, Hardhead is a collector's gem from a beloved chapter in Marvel's Transformers universe — compact in footprint, but firmly part of the mythology that defined a generation.
