Granny
Granny is the mild-mannered but feisty elderly owner of Tweety Bird in DC's Looney Tunes comics, regularly tangling with the scheming Sylvester the Cat as he pursues her beloved pet canary — deceptively formidable despite her grandmotherly appearance.
Granny made her comics debut in 1953's Four Color #489, brought to the page by Fred Abranz, and has been a beloved fixture of DC's Looney Tunes universe ever since — a remarkable run stretching all the way to 2025. She keeps wonderfully chaotic company, sharing adventures with Tweety, Sylvester, Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck across titles like Looney Tunes and the delightful Bugs Bunny's Trick 'n' Treat Halloween Fun. With a key issue to her name and over seven decades of appearances, this Golden Age charmer is a testament to the enduring magic of cartoon comics done right.
