Born in the pages of Congorilla #4 in 1993, Gossamer is a DC creation from the Copper/Modern Age whose footprint quietly stretches all the way to 2025 — a three-decade presence that speaks to a quiet staying power. The bulk of their comic life unfolds amid the cosmic corridors of Legion of Super-Heroes and Legionnaires, sharing pages with luminaries like Saturn Girl, Dream Girl, Matter-Eater Lad, Star Boy, and Triad — serious company in DC's storied far-future mythology. Steve Englehart and Neil Vokes brought Gossamer into existence, and while their appearance count remains select and collectible, that kind of rarity has a charm all its own for the dedicated DC completist hunting something genuinely off the beaten path.
