About the series
A short-lived but creatively fertile 1992–1994 DC series, Valor reimagined the Silver Age hero Lar Gand as a time-lost Legion of Super-Heroes character stranded in the 20th century. Anchored by the writing of Mark Waid, Robert Loren Fleming, and Kurt Busiek, and featuring art from Colleen Doran, Jeffrey Moore, and M. D. Bright, the series explored Valor's struggle to navigate a strange era while contending with a cast including the artificial intelligence Babbage, the villainous Crackpot, and the human Alia and Amos Monroe. It stands as a thoughtful, character-driven bridge between the Legion’s far-future legacy and the contemporary DC universe.
