Coldblood
A soldier subjected to a secret government program that rebuilt much of his body with cybernetic enhancements, Coldblood emerged as a reluctant cyborg operative, struggling to reconcile his humanity with his machine augmentations. He debuted in Marvel Comics Presents #26 (1989).
Coldblood burst onto the Marvel scene in 1989, the creation of the legendary Don McGregor and Gene Colan, debuting in Marvel Comics Presents during a Copper Age moment when anthology storytelling was giving Marvel's darker, grittier characters room to breathe. Over nearly three decades this brooding figure carved out a cult niche, turning up in Deathlok and Beyond! alongside the likes of T'Challa and Michael Collins β company that speaks to a corner of the Marvel universe where moral complexity and hard-edged science fiction collide. With a relatively intimate appearance count, Coldblood rewards the dedicated hunter: a character who never quite crossed into the mainstream spotlight but has quietly persisted, making every issue feel like a genuine find for collectors who love the road less traveled.
