Who is Boy?

Boy is Tarzan's young ward and jungle companion, raised in the African wilderness alongside the ape-man. He appears in Dell's Tarzan comics sharing adventures with Tarzan and his circle in the untamed jungle.

Swinging into Dell's beloved Tarzan line with issue #31 in 1952, Boy is a Golden Age jungle companion whose adventures unfold across the sun-drenched pages of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan and its companion Jungle Annual, brought to life by the celebrated creative team of Gaylord Du Bois and Jesse Marsh. Over the course of the 1950s, he shares the wild, vine-tangled world with Tarzan himself and a cast of compelling characters including Jack Clayton, John Clayton, Dan-El, and Natongo — distinguished company in one of Dell's most cherished licensed series. With 16 catalog appearances across some of the era's most atmospheric jungle storytelling, Boy is a genuine piece of Golden Age Dell history, the kind of character that makes flipping through back-issue bins an absolute joy.
