Who is Bork?

Bork is a superhumanly durable bruiser and recurring DC villain who first clashed with Batman and Wildcat. His near-invulnerable hide makes him a formidable physical threat, and he has tangled with numerous heroes across the DC Universe over the years.

Bork burst onto the DC scene in 1968's The Brave and the Bold #81, conjured by the legendary creative team of Bob Haney and Neal Adams during one of the Silver Age's most electric periods. Over nearly four decades, this bruiser of a villain carved out a persistent niche in the DC Universe, sharing pages with the likes of Manhunter, Skyrocket, and Witchfire across titles including Batman, Superman, and The Power Company. It's a testament to the character's staying power that a figure born in the late Silver Age was still turning up to cause trouble well into the 2000s. With Neal Adams' unmistakable linework on his debut, Bork's origins alone make that first appearance a worthy addition to any serious DC collection.
