Young Love
Prize · 1949–1956 · 73 issues
About the series
Jack Kirby, Bill Draut, and Mort Meskin brought their dynamic, expressive storytelling to Prize Comics' Young Love, a landmark romance series that ran 73 issues from 1949 to 1956. As one of the first romance comics, it helped define the genre with its dramatic, heartfelt tales of courtship and heartbreak, largely shaped by Kirby's energetic pencils and scripts. Its influence lies in proving that superhero artists could master the tender, soap-operatic conflicts of everyday life, making it a key artifact of the post-war comic boom.
