Red has a crush on a woman whose legs he regularly sees from the window of his basement apartment. When Ann is slightly injured in an accident, he visits her and they become friends, although she’s engaged to Frank. Frank beats up Red and Ann breaks up with him. Red and Ann get engaged, even though he discovers she’s not the woman with the legs.
