Wonder Comics

Fox Publications’ Wonder Comics (1939) was a short-lived but historically notable anthology series, running just two issues. The title is primarily remembered for featuring early work by Will Eisner (alongside Willis B. Rensie), who wrote and drew stories for the book during the dawn of the Golden Age of comics. Though brief, the series offers a snapshot of the formative era when publishers were racing to establish the superhero genre, with Eisner’s distinctive storytelling already beginning to emerge.
