About the series
In this Image Comics series from 2014 to 2017, writer Eric Stephenson and artist Simon Gane explore a world where a small group of gifted individuals—people with extraordinary abilities—have secretly banded together, living apart from ordinary society. The story follows a young woman who discovers she is one of them, only to find that their so-called "community" is built on manipulation, violence, and a chilling philosophy that they are better than everyone else. Over its 16 issues, They're Not Like Us offers a dark, psychological take on the superhero genre, questioning what it truly means to be special.
