About the series
In the mid-1950s, American Comics Group published The Hooded Horseman, a short-lived Western series that ran for five issues. Writer Richard Hughes and artists Ogden Whitney, Bob McCarty, and Edmond Good brought the adventures of a masked, frontier vigilante to life. While brief, the title is a notable example of the era's fascination with secret-identity heroes transplanted into the Old West.
